Bringing the Bush to the Capital

Bringing the Bush to the Capital | The SEGRA Foundation is pleased to announce expressions of interest are open to organisations based in regional Australia to present at the SEGRA IN HOUSE session on March 26 2024 at Parliament House, Canberra.

Hosted by the Hon Kristy McBain MP the event will highlight case studies that have successfully solved a local or regional challenge and that could be applied elsewhere in regional Australia. The theme for the session is Place Based Economic Development: Shaping the Future of Rural, Regional and Remote Australia.

The event will aim to increase the profile of regional Australia, highlight ‘grass roots‘ solutions and bring feedback from the 2023 Summit to decision makers.

If you are part of an organisation that is based in regional Australia that has a case study, project or initiative that presents a solution to a challenge in the regions and that can demonstrate has been successful as well as replicated elsewhere AND should be highlighted with members of Parliament and their teams then please submit an EOI.

The Foundation is seeking up to 5 organisations from across the country to participate. These organisations can be not for profits, businesses, local governments and universities but they must be located and operating in a rural or remote location.
