NATIONAL REGIONAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT

Busselton, WA
29-31 October 2024

The 2024 Summit host is RDA South West. They are part of a national network of Committees made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support the economic development of their regions.

RDA South West plays a critical role in helping to drive economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship in the south west of WA through facilitating investment in community, industry and the environment.

The SEGRA Foundation intends to continually improve and deliver its best by raising the bar every year with its National event. In 2024 attendees will be experiencing the Busselton, Bunbury and Margaret River region through multiple formats and not all in one spot! We will be walking the city, out on the road, meeting the leaders from the region and experiencing how they have contributed to sustainable regional development.

When we are all together the Foundation will host a series of short yet impactful SEGTALKS on Arts and Culture / Regional Development / Technology / Climate and Risk / Carbon and Environment / Water / Closing the Gap / Community and Livability at various venues in the Busselton CBD and surrounding area.

The Summit provides a unique opportunity for all sections of the Australian community, rural and urban, to explore the key issues affecting regional, rural and remote Australia and be part of providing positive sustainable outcomes to ensure future prosperity.

A two day pass is the best way to experience the Summit and it includes:

  • Welcome Networking Drinks on Tuesday 29 October at the Busselton Taphouse, commencing at 5.30pm,
  • Day one at Sabina River Farm, including breakfast, morning tea and lunch,
  • Choose from six off site tours on Wednesday 30 October,
  • Networking dinner on Wednesday 30 October,
  • Day two in the Busselton CBD including sundowner drinks,
  • Bus transfers for all Summit events off site.

The Foundation will also host a guest speaker for breakfast at The Goose on Thursday 31 October. Tickets are limited to this event and should be purchased additionally through this platform. We will announce our guest speaker shortly.

Two-day ticket holders and Wednesday ticket holders can choose from 6 tours on Wednesday 30 October. All transfers are included from our main venue at lunchtime on Wednesday and at the end of the tour we will finish at the Networking Dinner, with buses returning to the Busselton CBD by 8.30pm.

Our master of ceremonies is Myles Pollard, South West local and Australian actor best known for Mystery Road, McLeods Daughters and Before Dawn.

Further details about the program will be announced shortly. An interim event schedule is available here.

This year we will not be hosting exhibitor space due to the multiple venues being used over two days, however we welcome you to make contact with us to find out how your organisation can be promoted to attendees.
