SEGRA Emerging Champions 2026
The SEGRA Emerging Champions program recognises and supports regional professionals aged 18–39 who are already making a meaningful contribution to their communities. More than a “future leaders” initiative, this program acknowledges that these individuals are leading now and provides space, skills and networks to help them continue shaping the future of regional Australia.

Who Should Apply?
Individuals aged 18–39 who:
- Live or work in regional Australia;
- Are contributing to projects, organisations, initiatives or businesses making a difference in their community; and
- Want to grow their influence, skills and network to create long-term regional impact.

Full-Day Emerging Champions Program

Includes regional insights session, skill development workshop, participant sharing session and practitioner panel)

Integration into the SEGRA National Conference
(25 & 26 March 2026)
Ongoing Learning & Collaboration with bi-monthly online meetups throughout 2026.
Application Process
- Submit an Expression of Interest – close March 2026
- Assessment – EOIs reviewed against impact, engagement and diversity criteria.
- Selection & Onboarding – Successful applicants receive full program and logistics information.
