SEGRA Conference Centre

The Cradle Coast Authority SEGRA Conference 2022 is being held at the paranaple convention centre.

The paranaple convention centre opened in September 2018 as part of the City of Devonport’s LIVING CITY master plan. The name paranaple is a local aboriginal word for the section of the Mersey River that flows through Devonport and into Bass Strait. The floor to ceiling windows on the top floor convention centre take advantage of the waterside location with a spectacular view of the mouth of the Mersey River and Bass Strait.

Supporting venues for SEGRA 2022 include the Market Pavilion for Welcome Drinks and the Don River Railway for a Networking Dinner with a difference!

Delegates are encouraged to visit the Devonport Visitor Centre website www.visitdevonport.com.au to seek out additional information, attractions and access information.

Extend Your Stay

The Cradle Coast region combines, in a relatively small area, a high diversity of bioregions, dramatic mountain and coastal scenery, an extensive conservation estate, sound populations of elsewhere-threatened species and key biodiversity areas pivotal to the survival of migratory birds.

These environmental values are recognised as being of international significance.

The iconic Cradle Mountain and the Franklin and Gordon Rivers are part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area within the Cradle Coast region. In the Cradle Coast there are walk and mountain bike trails, the Bass Strait Maritime Centre, Art Galleries, King Island Cultural Centre, museums and heritage centres and of course the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail.
