Biography

Derby raised, from Worora and Walmajarri families, Katina is an executive with over 30 years international experience in financial and general management roles. Katina is a co-founder and Chair of Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils. She is an Executive director of IPS Management Consultants and a Non-Executive director of ASX listed Yandal Resources Ltd and DGO Gold Ltd. She is also on the board of headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation.

Katina has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UWA, is a Fellow of CPA Australia and has an MBA from London Business School.

As an Angel Investor and entrepreneur Katina has developed an invested in many businesses as well as mentored Indigenous business people to grow their influence in Australia’s economy.

Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils: Successfully Exporting an Indigenous Product

Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils is a 50% Indigenous owned and led business which manufactures high quality Australian Sandalwood Oil for sale into the international perfume industry. Its customers value its transparent and ethical supply chain which features sustainable Plantation and Wild Harvested Sandalwood. Dutjahn believes that Aboriginal people have a right to share in the supply chain success of sandalwood products and that Aboriginal wild harvesting is an important opportunity for Aboriginal people to derive independent, equitable, significant income while maintaining a connection to country.
