Biography

With an early career in retail banking and financial services, evolving into Local Government – Asset Management & Project Delivery, Jaymie and her family have travelled many years, living across WA and NT in multiple remote communities.

Jaymie lives in Tennant Creek; the largest town in the Barkly Region, and is passionate about providing Community and Local Businesses with support to access all levels of Government and Industry opportunities. Collaboration is crucial to empower local people to make local decisions and build sustainable futures.

Abstract

The Barkly Regional Deal is the first regional deal in Australia – a 10 year $78 million commitment between the Australian Government, the Northern Territory Government and the Barkly Regional Council.

The Deal aims to increase the productivity and liveability of the Barkly Region and its people and communities, by stimulating economic growth and improving social outcomes.

Through a collaborative approach to project delivery, the Barkly Regional Deal demonstrates how cooperation between the three levels of government and local community members can drive positive outcomes.
