Is your region delivering landscape level planning and how did you achieve it?
The SEGRA National Steering Committee is looking for case studies of landscape level regional best practice.
Landscape-scale planning and management is a holistic approach to sustainable development concerned with biodiversity and local economies, agriculture, eco-tourism, geodiversity and the health and social benefits of the environment and society.
Papers are being considered around the following topics: landscape scale planning; local business and community engagement; achieving coherence at local state and federal government levels; providing adequate budgetary commitments for staff resources and other costs; governance arrangements including clearly defined outcomes and lead responsibility identified; and evidence of clear implementation plans.
The SEGRA Conference, Australia’s premier regional conference, will be held in Barooga NSW 20-22 August 2019. To find out more please visit the call for papers page.
