Conversation 23 - Collaboration – It’s not what you think!
SEGRA has set up a series of webinars called “A Conversation for Regional Australia about COVID-19” as a forum for those who live, work and invest in regional, rural and remote Australia. The goal of the webinars is to enable regions to get a greater understanding of the issues and pool their ideas and initiatives to ride out the storm. Impacts will be felt across health, the broader economy, education, business, lifestyle and our social fabric.
Collaboration has been a recurring theme in our SEGRA COVID-19 Conversations. However, collaboration means different things to different stakeholders and requires a particular, highly developed skill set to affect a useful outcome. In this conversation, our speakers will discuss the art of Collaboration through a recent regional case study.
We will be joined by Mary Reid, a highly experienced public servant and retired business woman who was part of a core group of local leaders that catalysed the vision of the Highfields Lifestyle Enterprise Precinct. A bold vision to turn the tide on increasing pressures for the community of Highfields to become a dormitory suburb of Toowoomba.
Webinar 23 speakers:
- Kate Charters, Chair, SEGRA
- Robert Prestipino, Principal, Vital Places
- Mary Reid, highly experienced public servant and retired business woman
